Your Eye Exam

Once you arrive at our office, please check-in at the registration desk. You will be given a packet of materials to complete in our reception area. A certified ophthalmic technician will greet you and initiate your eye evaluation. The technician will review your ocular, medical and family history, evaluate your vision and take special eye measurements.

Dr. Raizman will then examine your eyes and review your initial evaluation findings. Depending on his findings and your special needs, further testing may be performed.

Most new patients can expect to spend three hours in our office for an initial visit. Special consultations may require more time. Please let us know if there is anything special we can do prior to your arrival to make your visit more productive.

Referring Doctor Follow-up

If another doctor referred you to our office, Dr. Raizman will send your doctor a consultation letter detailing his examination findings and recommended treatment plan.

Health Insurance

Prior to your departure, you will see our health insurance staff. We participate in most local, regional and national health insurance plans. Our fees are similar to those established throughout New England. Payment is expected at the time of service and we will assist you in processing your insurance claims. If your insurance requires a referral from your primary care physician, it is essential that you obtain this prior to your appointment and bring it with you on the day of your examination.

Follow-up Care

If necessary, a return appointment will be scheduled for you prior to your departure. All annual and bi-annual visits are scheduled by mail.
